Teaching and Learning with Technology: A Year in Review 2013-14

A Year in Review >

Massive open online courses (MOOCs), digital badges, flipped classrooms, and a multitude of other digital technologies are playing vital roles in higher education—and at Penn State. To enrich teaching and learning in virtual and on-campus classrooms, the University is striving to enhance the educational experiences of students and promote the innovative use of technology by faculty.

In 2013–14, Penn State Information Technology (IT) continued to support faculty through events and programs designed to foster collaboration, conversation, and new ways of working with technology. For students, access to innovative multimedia tools, collaborative learning spaces, computer labs, and training opportunities is enabling learning and helping them cultivate IT skills valuable in college and for a lifetime.
